Burns & McDonnell performed an independent technology review of the Siemens SWT-3.0-101, a direct-drive wind turbine generator from Siemens that utilizes a permanent magnet generator. The study was performed on behalf of a confidential client for consideration at two proposed wind farms and ultimately led to the successful utilization of the new technology by the client.
