Hawaii Air National Guard Project Earns LEED Platinum Certification

A new combined squadron operations and aircraft maintenance unit hangar for the Hawaii Air National Guard has become the latest Burns & McDonnell project to earn Platinum certification from the U.S. Green Building Council's Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) program. It is the Air National Guard's first LEED Platinum-certified facility.

The Burns & McDonnell Aviation & Federal Group designed the 77,000-square-foot facility at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam for the beddown of F-22 fighter jets with a focus on flexible design, innovative space usage and extensive sustainability features.
