Burns & McDonnell provides ongoing project support to Flint Hills Resources' network of ethanol and biodiesel facilities in the central United States. By working at all of FHR's sites we are able to provide consistency, economies of scale and a dedicated core team of professionals to support a wide range of technical initiatives.

Site troubleshooting
FHR sites have a direct link to the Burns & McDonnell project team when issues arise requiring immediate technical support. Our engineers have provided input on a wide range of problems and outages.

Technology evaluations
Burns & McDonnell process engineers have provided numerous evaluations of various technology components in the development of plant improvement and expansion projects. Our engineers have objectively assessed third-party technologies and integrated selected providers into the overall process design.

Site engineering and construction support
Burns & McDonnell personnel have worked for extended periods at FHR sites, providing daily support to engineering and construction activities. These roles have primarily been as owner's engineer or construction manager, working with internal and external teams to enhance overall project delivery.

CAPEX project delivery
One of our primary missions is to support design development and overall project execution of capital projects ranging from a few thousand dollars to several million. Our team's ability to respond and adapt with the changing workloads provides FHR with timely, professional and cost-effective project delivery.

Turnaround support
