Burns & McDonnell provided professional services to Trans-Elect for the engineer-procure-construct (EPC) cost evaluation of a proposed 345-kV transmission line from northern Wyoming to northern Colorado. The estimated transmission project's ultimate build out consisted of 300 miles of 345-kV transmission line, four new 345/230-kV substations and the expansion of four existing 345-kV yards. Additionally, Burns & McDonnell provided engineering design services ranging from corridor studies through substation one-line and yard layout designs.
